Ms. Chrissy Henderson – Strategic Partnerships Officer, Event Coordinator, Administrative Assistant & Fundraising Chair

Ms. Chrissy Henderson has been a dedicated member of the Bright Academy faculty since nearly its founding in 2013. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mobile College and brings over 25 years of experience in both public and private education, impacting students across a variety of grade levels.

Throughout her career, Ms. Chrissy has served on Accreditation Committees, Building Leadership Teams, and coached elementary track, soccer, and middle school cheer. Her leadership and enthusiasm have left a lasting impression in every role she’s taken on.

Since joining Bright Academy, Ms. Chrissy has pursued extensive professional development, completing training through Brainspring and Neuhaus Education Center, with a focus on supporting dyslexic learners as well as implementing multi-sensory and enrichment-based math strategies. She has served the school as both a classroom teacher and Assistant Principal.

Currently, Ms. Chrissy wears many hats at Bright Academy, serving as the Strategic Partnerships Officer, Event Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, and Fundraising Chair. Her creativity, commitment, and passion for the school’s mission are evident in all she does.

In her free time, Ms. Chrissy enjoys visiting the beach, spending time with her family, and caring for her beloved pets, Beau and Nash.
