MaryAnn Ellis

Mrs. Maryann Ellis received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama. She holds a master’s degree in both Special Education and Elementary Education and has recently completed her training to become nationally credentialed as a Certified Academic Language Therapist. In her 28 years as an educator, she has been an elementary teacher, a special education teacher, served as Title 1 Facilitator, and department chair in various departments. She has served as an instructor at the University of South Alabama and been a presenter for literacy strategies for the Mobile County School System. She holds certifications from ARI, AMSTI, and IMSLEC. Mrs MaryAnn serves as a member of the International Dyslexia Association. This is her fourth year at Bright Academy where she serves as a CALT dyslexia therapist, 5th grade language arts teacher, and Executive Academic Specialist.
