Kim Baker

Ms. Kim Baker graduated from the University of South Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, Language Arts. She later completed her master’s degree in Dyslexia Therapy at William Carey University. Ms. Kim has been working at Bright Academy as a language arts teacher and dyslexia therapist for 7 years. In addition to being a Certified Academic Language Therapist, she is also trained in Neuhaus’ Language Enrichment and Reading Readiness curricula, as well as the Writing Revolution. An experienced presenter, Ms. Kim has led several professional development workshops training other educators in the Science of Reading classroom strategies. She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association and is currently teaching 1st and 2nd grade while serving as a CALT dyslexia therapist, and our Dean of Academics.
